Surgery clinics

We offer a range of clinics and services at the surgery. There are some tasks you can do, such as health reviews, using our online forms.

What we can offer you

Our nurses and healthcare assistants are trained to provide a wide range of services to patients. They work closely with the GP’s and manage many areas including:

  • Asthma
  • COPD
  • Diabetes
  • Coronary heart disease
  • Hypertension
  • Contraception
  • ECG’s
  • Vaccinations
  • Weight management
  • Minor illnesses
  • Minor injuries
  • Sexual health

When assessing your needs you will be directed to the most appropriate person within the practice.

Antenatal

This clinic is run by midwives from the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. If you become pregnant you will be given a “booking appointment” at which the midwife will ask you a few questions and carry out some general health checks. You will be seen regularly throughout your pregnancy either at the practice or at the local hospital or both.

Sick notes

During the first seven days of incapacity or illness patients will need to complete a ‘self certificate’. The form is SC2 which is given to your employer. The form SC1 for the unemployed or self-employed is sent to the Jobcentre or Social Security office. After the seven day period a medical certificate is required from the GP confirming that the GP advises you to refrain from work.

If your employer requests a medical certificate for absences of 7 days or less then this is provided as a private service and is subject to a charge. Details are available from reception.

Blood tests

Registered patients may attend pre booked or walk in appointments on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 8am and 12:30pm in the Health Centre.

Travel vaccines

For other travel immunisations and advice, you will need to visit a private travel clinic. We do not offer this service.

If you wish to view further information regarding this, please visit the FitForTravel website.

Family planning

We offer a full range of contraceptive services including implant fitting and IUS / IUCD fitting.

Please contact reception for more information or to book an appointment.

  • Emergency contraception needs to be used as soon as possible and within 72 hours
