Walk-In Centre

The walk-in centre is open from 07:00-21:00 for all patients.

We are currently triaging all patients attending the walk-in centre. Please do not attend if you have any of the following symptoms or you are concerned that you may have COVID-19:

  • High temperature
  • New continuous cough
  • Loss of sense of smell and/or taste

If you are displaying any COVID 19 symptoms, then please call the walk-in centre and ask to have a telephone consultation with one of our clinicians.

The walk-in centre is now offering telephone and video consultations to all patients in addition to face-to-face appointments. Certain conditions may need a face-to-face consultation and patients will be advised accordingly. Please note these consultations will be offered for same day only and are not pre-bookable.

We are still providing a sit and wait service but please be aware this may include queuing outside of the building due to the triaging system and limited seats inside due to social distancing. Patients attending the walk-in centre for a blood test are asked to queue separately (to the right of the main entrance).

When attending the walk-in centre, patients are required to wear a face covering unless they are exempt in which case they will be asked if they are willing to wear a visor provided by us as an alternative.

Norwich Practices Health Centre is operated by Norwich Practices Ltd under a contract with NHS England to provide NHS services. Norwich Practices Ltd is owned and operated by doctors from local GP practices. The company was set up because those local GPs felt they could provide more and better services to patients if they worked together.
